Slovyansk: In the Midst of A Cease-fire

Slovyansk has been the epicenter of the separatist conflict ravaging eastern Ukraine for months. Many of its residents have left the city as a result of the daily shootouts between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian separatists but many stayed and continue to endure shelling despite the cease-fire declared by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. Here is the RFE/RL's correspondent Andrei Babitsky account of the damages inflicted to the city and its residents by the battle for control of the eastern Ukrainian city of Slovyansk.
