Thousands of Cubans took part in rare protests against the Caribbean island nation’s communist government, with many young people chanting, "Down with the dictatorship" and “Freedom.” President Miguel Diaz-Canel on July 11 called on his supporters to “fight” the demonstrators in the capital, Havana.
