The opening ceremonies for the delayed Olympic Games have started in Tokyo to an almost empty stadium as organizers look to pull the event out from under the cloud of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ceremonies began at 8 p.m. local time (1 p.m. in Prague) on July 23 with fewer than 1,000 people in the 68,000-capacity Olympic Stadium.
